The Art of “Letting Go”

The Art of "Letting Go."

(from 07-03-12)

A law of physics states that two objects cannot occupy the same space. With that in mind it is logical that our greatest progress often begins by “letting go.” Letting go often means that we must release old habits and old ways of thinking that often will result in letting go of long standing relationships that no longer serve us well, or changing situations for the benefit of our well being. However, so often it is the fear of the unknown that keeps us bound.

Letting-go.jpg

Letting go is the first step in receiving. There is an old story of a monkey who has his hand stuck in a jar. The reason he cannot pull his hand out of the jar is because he is holding a banana and the width of his fist with the banana is larger than the mouth of the jar. Yet he refuses to let go of the banana for fear of losing it. Of course in order to get to the object of his desire he must first “let go” and once the hand is removed he can pick up the jar and turn it over.

So often it is our fear of letting go of what we have or where we are which prevents us from getting what we truly want. The fear of losing what we have often prevents us from taking the leap of faith that can propel us to new heights. The self made man (or woman) will tell you that success never comes in a straight line. Success is met by a series of triumphs and failures that are all part of the climb to the summit. One thing that all successful people have in common is their ability to “let go,” regroup and move forward.

This is the basis for Roncar’s lecture this week. He says, “Come to know and love your fear.”  Knowledge of your fear will help to set yourself free because you can recognize how that fear is preventing you from accomplishing what you want. The fear of letting go of old beliefs and self imposed limitations can be every bit as difficult as letting go of something in the physical.

In this time of change many of us are being forced to let go of many things on many levels both physical and mental. We can allow fear to limit our steps forward or we can embrace the opportunity with a leap of faith with the knowledge that there is already something better for us on the other side of the equation.

In the words of a friend of mine who is a well known astrologer, “Change is inevitable. You can go kicking and screaming, or you can just enjoy the ride. One way or another, the train is leaving the station!”

You will find Roncar’s explanation of this topic both simple and profound. Anyone who listens will gain some new insight about your power to transform life by taking step number one, “letting go.”

Were the Founding Fathers Divinely Guided?

(from 07-03-12)

Founding-Father-300.jpg

Today we have a special July 4rth edition of Roncar Speaks. This is a segment from last nights broadcast and I felt that there was so much great information that I wanted to make it available to everyone on our list.

The question that started the ball rolling was “Were the founding fathers divinely guided, divinely inspired, or were they themselves elevated souls? “ The answer and the discussion that follows offer fantastic insights into the founding of our nation, our development and a “progress report” on the state of the nation to date. During the course of this discussion, Roncar also offer reasons why we are where we are today and what needs to happen to fix it.

This segment is a little longer than our normal newsletter segments. I left the full discussion in tact because it is all so fascinating and appropriate for today as we celebrate the birth of our nation, and as we contemplate the current changes taking place. This is also not Roncar’s main address for the evening and it is a good sampling of the kinds of discussions we have with Roncar during a typical Circle session.

I know that many of you will not look at emails until tomorrow, after the picnics, social events and the fireworks are over; but if you are interested in what makes this country so special, this is a metaphysical history lesson you will not want to miss. For your convenience you can download the audio file from the 'download" button in the audio player below.

We wish you a very happy July 4rth!

Roncar Makes A Request

Roncar Makes A Request.

(from 06-26-12)

Have you ever felt responsible for Peace and Harmony for the rest of the world? That sounds like a daunting task. For the great majority of us who consider ourselves to be just plain ordinary every day people, it is not something that we regularly consider. After all, isn’t that why we elect our public officials and heads of state? Isn’t that responsibility part of their job description? Or perhaps we might leave a task of that magnitude to our religious leaders? Isn’t it their job to inspire and motivate us toward lofty ideals and goals? The irony is that the most powerful person in this world who is responsible for the peace and harmony for the rest of the world is none of the above. It is you.

Dove-260.jpg

By now you might be thinking of the old adage that you can carpet the entire world by wearing some really comfortable slippers. This is very true. Even more amazing is that your own personal peace and harmony has a direct influence over the rest of the world. The peace and harmony you actively create by the way you live your life; by the way you chose to act or react in virtually every situation, ripples though the ocean of humanity all over our planet.

You may think that your influence on any final outcome is insignificant when you consider that there are over 6 billion people who inhabit the earth at this time. Yet when you consider that there are only 6 degrees of separation between you and any one else on the planet that means you are you are really just 1 in 6. That makes your thoughts and actions very important for the well being of everyone. Chances are that you are already well aware of this truth. However, like most powerful truths they are often overlooked because they are so true.

This week Roncar speaks about your role in the creation of peace and harmony for the rest of the world at this point in time. If you listen “between the lines” you will easily pick up that our world is at a critical juncture, especially during the next several weeks. It is not hard to see the unrest that has been caused by so many changes in the economic environment and the battle for dominance in political arenas all over the globe.

Roncar asks us to realize just how important each one of us is in determining the outcome of peace no matter what economic level, what job, or what situation. We need not even be directly involved other than to assume complete responsibility for the thoughts, words and actions we chose in every moment of every day. “Blessed are the Peacemakers.”

Can You Pull A Rabbit Out of the Hat?

Pulling A Rabbit Out of the Hat.

(from 06-05-12)

rabbit-hat-180.jpg

There is no question that we are in a great time of change. It seems like a page is turning on some chapter somewhere in the Akashic records and we are in the middle of adapting to the new a scene that is being set up around us.  Change and the ability to respond to that change is a necessity.

However with change there are always questions. Where am I going and what am I going to do with these new conditions or circumstances? What is the restless urge to move forward and what am I moving forward toward?

You might have a very good idea of where you would like to end up, but for most of us, how to get from point A to point B can be just as mysterious as pulling a rabbit out of a hat. We must discover the hidden path before us.

In this segment, Roncar will get you to think about how to see what you cannot see. He maintains that all of the answers to our questions are readily available at all times.  Because we are an extension of God, that supreme intelligence is all around and within us at every moment. Solutions are always before us.  Just like this children’s book illustration, the key to seeing what is hidden lies in our ability to suspend our crusty old calcified vision of reality and allow our divinely guided imagination to do some walking.

How Many faces do you see in this Illustration?

hiddenfaces-325.jpg

The more you look, the more you see.

“Ask it will be given. Seek and ye shall find.”

Thank you for listening!

The Hidden Power of Persistence

The Hidden Power of Persistence.

(from 05-15-12)

One of the reasons I am writing this newsletter today is because of the very subject matter in this lecture by Roncar.  Sometimes it is very hard to tell where you are on the path of your journey, especially when you are faced with a new goal, or a new set of circumstances or conditions.  It seems like, for most of us, there is a lot of change going on right now.  Everyone that I know is dealing with some sort of significant, life altering shift that is presenting a new set of challenges and the necessity of looking at the goals associated with them.

seedlings.jpg

The hardest part of the journey always seems to be when you are making a consistent and steady effort but you do not seem to see any results for the energies you have invested. With consistent effort, ultimately the dormant energies hidden below the surface will build to offer some tangible evidence of a move forward on the physical plane. You can observe this kind of activity when you are learning just anything above your current skill level. As you practice drawing that picture, or learn how to play an instrument, one day you are rewarded with the mastery you have been striving to achieve.

So, as you may have guessed, in this week Roncar skillfully talks about the value of persistence and perseverance. However, intertwined with that discussion are also some clues on how to see that the movement that you are not noticing as you practice your daily routine.  In this segment I actually combined two lectures because they were so closely related and so complementary. In the second section Roncar offers a new expanded definition of persistence that offers a broader understanding of how to use persistence in new and creative ways.

If you have an interest in effecting change in your life, or in accomplishing a goal, today’s audio segment should not be overlooked.  It just might inspire within you that last little effort that could mean the difference between going home empty handed or celebrating the power of your own abilities to create and manifest the reality you desire.

Do You Hold the Philosopher’s Stone?

Do You Hold the Philosopher's Stone?

(from 04-24-12 at the I.S.D.)

The Philosopher’s Stone has long been associated with transformation. The Philosopher’s Stone and its magical alchemic power could transform coal into diamonds, lead into gold and even sickness into health. Currently most of us see the Philosopher’s Stone as ancient mythology, or perhaps a subject of Harry Potter’s quest, but in truth the search for the Philosopher’s stone is every bit as present today as it ever was at any time in history. Just think of the “get rich quick” schemes and offers that assault us everyday through a plethora of infomercials, radio ads and solicitous emails that entice us with a never ending string of promised short cuts. So just like the ancient alchemists of old who slaved over a bubbling cauldron trying to discover a secret science that could change their lives; so to we pursue the same, only in a more modern and complicated way.

In this week’s lecture, Roncar never mentions the Philosopher’s Stone. However as I was listening to Roncar’s message the thought came to me that yes indeed we all posses this magical wondrous substance that is the basis of transforming just about anything you can image within the blink of an eye. It is absolutely the single most significant element to effect change. It is so wondrous, not only can it change the present, but it can even change your past and have a profound influence on your future.

The funny thing is that we have all been in possession of this most valued Philosopher’s Stone the entire time. Unfortunately most of us are not aware of the power it possesses or even how simple it is to access, and just like the neigh Sayers from the past so many refuse to even acknowledge it as real. No doubt you have already touched it many times before, but perhaps did not realize the extent of its depth and power.

Are you curious yet?  Perhaps you need to listen to see what I am talking about.

Slay the dragons on your path

Slay the Dragons on Your Path.

(from 04-17-12)

Each one of us has a desire to create. We are all in the process of manifesting some goal or idea that we deem worthy.  We cannot help it. We are born to be creators within this Creation and whether you think about it or not, our hopes dreams and wishes are all a platform upon which we manifest the inspiration and creative wisdom that flows though us.

When our good intentions and aspirations to achieve are blocked, life can turn from the most positive and enthusiastic experience to one of frustration or even despair. Anyone who has ever set out to achieve anything worthwhile has always come to this point at one time or another.  There is an old proverb that says, "We make plans, God laughs."  Success or accomplishment never comes in a straight line, and just like a river, we must often go around the boulders (or mountains) to find a way back to the source.

In this week Roncar talks about overcoming the things that keep you from accomplishing your goals. These blocks can come in many varieties, shapes and sizes, however most of them come from within. They manifest in the form of frustration which leads to anger, self doubt which leads to a lack of self confidence and fear; and judgments which can ultimately deem the project dead.  These are the dragons you face along the path of accomplishment.

In his address Roncar will show you how to regenerate the breath of hope and the light of enthusiasm for whatever it is that you wish to manifest.  He talks about the power of suspending your judgments, reevaluating the perceptions that may cause your limitations, and shifting your focus to free you from being held hostage to the imaginary dragons that are no more than illusions along your path.

Is Every Day A Wonderful Day?

AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 017

Is Every Day A Wonderful Day?

(from 03-27-12)

This week’s lecture is very interesting in that it serves many purposes. First it is an introductory lecture for the benefit of a new group of people who have not ever experienced the phenomena of a spirit speaking through a medium. This was the first Circle we held at the Institute for Spiritual Development in Sparta, NJ, so there were many new faces.  Roncar speaks a little about the history of the Circle, his agreement with the Medium, and his reasons for participation.  You may hear Roncar refer to “the little one.” That would be Whannah, Norma’s joy guide. I have include a separate audio clip so you can hear how she explains her role in the Circle as she gives some instructions to the new people for the evening. Whannah is always a delight, upbeat and cheerful. Her persona is that of a little Indian (Native American) girl. Her name actually means “running water” and as she speaks you can see why that name so perfectly suites her. In this midst of Roncar’s recording you will hear a constant and persistent “hum”.  Just in case you are wondering what that might be, we did not realize that we were near the furnace room at the church. You will hear it kick in about half way though the lecture.

However, besides all of the new introductions, Roncar’s message aims right at the core of his purpose for speaking through Norma every week. The subject is Spiritual Development.  Spiritual Development does not have to take place in a Monastery, a Church or an Ashram in the mountains. Your spiritual development is happening right now as you live your everyday life. It is how you approach each day and all of the trappings within it that provides the opportunities for you to grow on the Spiritual plane. In each day we have the opportunities to transcend our own self imposed limitations and perceptions to create greater peace and harmony in our own life which is again magnified into the peace and harmony of the world at large.

The benchmark by which we can measure our progress can be boiled down to a single simple judgment, “Is today a wonderful day?” How you answer that question is a true reflection on the state of your own development.

I hope you enjoy this week’s audio update. It is entertaining and at the same time gets right to the point. In some ways it is a summary of everything you really need to know.
