The Art of “Letting Go”

The Art of "Letting Go."

(from 07-03-12)

A law of physics states that two objects cannot occupy the same space. With that in mind it is logical that our greatest progress often begins by “letting go.” Letting go often means that we must release old habits and old ways of thinking that often will result in letting go of long standing relationships that no longer serve us well, or changing situations for the benefit of our well being. However, so often it is the fear of the unknown that keeps us bound.

Letting-go.jpg

Letting go is the first step in receiving. There is an old story of a monkey who has his hand stuck in a jar. The reason he cannot pull his hand out of the jar is because he is holding a banana and the width of his fist with the banana is larger than the mouth of the jar. Yet he refuses to let go of the banana for fear of losing it. Of course in order to get to the object of his desire he must first “let go” and once the hand is removed he can pick up the jar and turn it over.

So often it is our fear of letting go of what we have or where we are which prevents us from getting what we truly want. The fear of losing what we have often prevents us from taking the leap of faith that can propel us to new heights. The self made man (or woman) will tell you that success never comes in a straight line. Success is met by a series of triumphs and failures that are all part of the climb to the summit. One thing that all successful people have in common is their ability to “let go,” regroup and move forward.

This is the basis for Roncar’s lecture this week. He says, “Come to know and love your fear.”  Knowledge of your fear will help to set yourself free because you can recognize how that fear is preventing you from accomplishing what you want. The fear of letting go of old beliefs and self imposed limitations can be every bit as difficult as letting go of something in the physical.

In this time of change many of us are being forced to let go of many things on many levels both physical and mental. We can allow fear to limit our steps forward or we can embrace the opportunity with a leap of faith with the knowledge that there is already something better for us on the other side of the equation.

In the words of a friend of mine who is a well known astrologer, “Change is inevitable. You can go kicking and screaming, or you can just enjoy the ride. One way or another, the train is leaving the station!”

You will find Roncar’s explanation of this topic both simple and profound. Anyone who listens will gain some new insight about your power to transform life by taking step number one, “letting go.”

Can You Pull A Rabbit Out of the Hat?

Pulling A Rabbit Out of the Hat.

(from 06-05-12)

rabbit-hat-180.jpg

There is no question that we are in a great time of change. It seems like a page is turning on some chapter somewhere in the Akashic records and we are in the middle of adapting to the new a scene that is being set up around us.  Change and the ability to respond to that change is a necessity.

However with change there are always questions. Where am I going and what am I going to do with these new conditions or circumstances? What is the restless urge to move forward and what am I moving forward toward?

You might have a very good idea of where you would like to end up, but for most of us, how to get from point A to point B can be just as mysterious as pulling a rabbit out of a hat. We must discover the hidden path before us.

In this segment, Roncar will get you to think about how to see what you cannot see. He maintains that all of the answers to our questions are readily available at all times.  Because we are an extension of God, that supreme intelligence is all around and within us at every moment. Solutions are always before us.  Just like this children’s book illustration, the key to seeing what is hidden lies in our ability to suspend our crusty old calcified vision of reality and allow our divinely guided imagination to do some walking.

How Many faces do you see in this Illustration?

hiddenfaces-325.jpg

The more you look, the more you see.

“Ask it will be given. Seek and ye shall find.”

Thank you for listening!

The Hidden Power of Persistence

Posted by roncarspeaks on 22nd May 2012

AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 021

The Hidden Power of Persistence.

(from 05-15-12)

One of the reasons I am writing this newsletter today is because of the very subject matter in this lecture by Roncar.  Sometimes it is very hard to tell where you are on the path of your journey, especially when you are faced with a new goal, or a new set of circumstances or conditions.  It seems like, for most of us, there is a lot of change going on right now.  Everyone that I know is dealing with some sort of significant, life altering shift that is presenting a new set of challenges and the necessity of looking at the goals associated with them.

seedlings.jpg

The hardest part of the journey always seems to be when you are making a consistent and steady effort but you do not seem to see any results for the energies you have invested. With consistent effort, ultimately the dormant energies hidden below the surface will build to offer some tangible evidence of a move forward on the physical plane. You can observe this kind of activity when you are learning just anything above your current skill level. As you practice drawing that picture, or learn how to play an instrument, one day you are rewarded with the mastery you have been striving to achieve.

So, as you may have guessed, in this week Roncar skillfully talks about the value of persistence and perseverance. However, intertwined with that discussion are also some clues on how to see that the movement that you are not noticing as you practice your daily routine.  In this segment I actually combined two lectures because they were so closely related and so complementary. In the second section Roncar offers a new expanded definition of persistence that offers a broader understanding of how to use persistence in new and creative ways.

If you have an interest in effecting change in your life, or in accomplishing a goal, today’s audio segment should not be overlooked.  It just might inspire within you that last little effort that could mean the difference between going home empty handed or celebrating the power of your own abilities to create and manifest the reality you desire.

You Are The Gardener of Your Life

Posted by roncarspeaks on 24th March 2012

AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 016

You Are the Gardener of Your Life

(from 03-20-12)

Have you ever tried to create or achieve something in your life that just never seems to arrive? Have you tried everything you can think of doing to push your project along with no sign of fruition, even though you may have been working at that project for many years? Have you ever stopped or given up on something because of the frustration?  Accept for a very rare few among us, we have all shared an experience like this at one time or another.

In this week’s lecture, Roncar not only speaks about the benefits of persistence and patience, but also addresses the matter of accomplishing your goals in this current environment of “change.” It is hard enough to manifest something under the conditions that are somewhat stable. But now, in this time period when so much of what was once considered familiar or common sense is being re-evaluated by individuals, societies and nations; the reference points by which we guide our ship are often missing or in some other spot yet to be determined.

Roncar emphasizes that times of change are often a perfect time to plough and plant new seeds. It is a time to rework what you have already done and to consider new ways to accomplish your goals. Even though nothing may appear to be happening on the surface, all of the energy you have invested in manifesting will only act as a fertilizer to enrich and enhance your crop when the timing is ripe for manifestation.

Roncar encourages us to continue with our dreams, goals and desires, for if you stop you will not harvest a thing. In his metaphor, “You are the Gardener of your life.” It is up to you to plough, plant, tend and weed your crop.  While you already know this to be true, it is so eloquently stated in this brief segment I am sure you will find listening to be both motivational and inspiring.

The Mantras That Run Your Life

Posted by roncarspeaks on 3rd March 2012

AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 013

The Mantras That Run Your Life

(from 02-03-09)

It has been a little quiet around here for the past week.  For whatever reason, Norma has attracted a case of laryngitis. It has almost been a full week and now her voice is just beginning to croak back to “Normal.”  As a result we did cancel Circle this past Tuesday. The metaphysical view about the situation would be it was “meant to be.” We do expect to be up and running again this coming Tuesday, unless Norma reverses her course.

So, to come up with this week’s audio segment I placed a giant stack of our CDs in front of Norma and asked her to pick three, so that I could choose something appropriate for the newsletter.  Of course the first one she chose turned out to be the one we are going to listen to today. It is “classic” Roncar. Just some plain Wisdom from the other side, ripe with understanding and a common sense approach to the spiritual side of life.

“The Mantras that run your life” accomplishes two purposes. One is to simply explain how and why a mantra will enable you to find the voice of God within you. For those who are already adept at meditation, you will recognize the truth in this lecture immediately. But then Roncar brings the message of the mantra into a slightly different territory. No matter how adept you might be at meditation, the conscious and subconscious mantra(s) that surface into our mind and run out of our mouth every day is one of the most powerful influences on our day-to-day, moment-to-moment experience of life itself. What are you creating? Do you correct and readdress the unbridled thoughts that float in your head?

You may already know this simple truth, but I urge you to listen to this segment to energize your resolve and renew your discipline to be the master of your own mind and domain. Perhaps this is the message that was “meant to be” for you at this moment in time.

Do You Talk Trash to Yourself?

Posted by roncarspeaks on 4th February 2012

AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 008

Do You "Talk Trash" to Yourself (from 01-31-12)

In this episode of Roncar Speaks, Roncar emphasizes the importance for each of us to be aware of what we allow to enter our reality.  This includes the influences from our external influence from friends and family as well as what surfaces from our mind.  By guarding the gates of our consciousness we take full responsibility for our experience in life.

Roncar amusingly refers to the constant barrage of “trash talk” that flies all around us from those we encounter at work and home. The opportunity to let the negative opinions and judgments from others to influence our reality is always available.

Besides entertaining the negativity from friends, family and associates, what about you? Do you talk trash to yourself?  Are you one who has internalized the negative messages of others to replay over and over again when the appropriate situation arises to reinforce any negative opinion you may be harboring about yourself? When you place this scenario within this context, it sounds like a dumb thing to do; like banging you head against a wall, or hitting your thumb with a hammer. But if you really watch what goes on in your head, there is a very good chance you will see this little bug running around inside of your head wreaking all kinds of havoc even though some of these thoughts can be very cleverly disguised, seemingly innocuous, and very subtle.

The issue is not about the negativity bait dangling on a hook at the door to our consciousness.  Whether the source be from a friend or from the regurgitation of you own mind, the action that is taken becomes an issue of self responsibility and ultimately self love. It is up to you to decide what you allow into your reality.  You are the person in charge. You have the power to decide what to accept, or reject.  Sometimes we totally forget the incredible power we possess to shape and transform our life experience via the simple practice of exercising our own will.

Roncar’s message is to stand on guard.  Be conscious and protect your delicate balance. Turn on your own spam filter and decide what goes to your “in box” or what gets placed in the “trash.

Happy Listening!

The Value of Being Trustworthy

Posted by roncarspeaks on 14th January 2012

AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 006

The Value of Being Trustworthy (from 01-10-12)

This week Roncar continues with the review of his assignment to all of us several weeks again when he asked us to write down a list the qualities that we would wish others to see in us. In order for others to see those qualities, obviously first we would have to BE those qualities.

When Roncar began his address this week, I had two thoughts. The first was that this was so elementary, how would anyone find this to be of interest?  Doesn’t everyone already know this? And then as he continued to speak I recalled some of the formative influences from my youth that helped to shape the values that I carry with me today.

When I was a youth in the Boy Scouts, one of the first things we had to learn was the “Scout Oath” and the “Boy Scout Law.”  I know this sounds a bit “hokey” but these were a list of positive attributes that we had to recite at the beginning of each meeting.  In order to receive our “Tenderfoot” badge we had to memorize them and give an explanation of what each of these attributes meant.

I have no idea if it is the same way today, but I do know that the Scout Oath and the Scout Law was something than ran through my mind all the time because I had to recite them out loud every week along with all of my other fellow troop members. It definitely had a good effect no matter how corny it might have seemed at the time. (Just in case you’re interested I have the Scout Oath and the Scout Law at the bottom of this page)

So in that light, Roncar is asking us to create our own list of values and characteristics that we want to emulate in our life.  Just before the Holiday break we introduced the topic of Integrity (see VOL 3) as well as "The Groundrules of Love." (see Vol 4)

In this week Roncar explores the value of being Trustworthy. While this is something we take for granted, I do urge you to listen to this short segment, perhaps even twice. On the surface it seems do simple, yet when you really listen, the value of this attribute for your own benefit as well as for the rest of the world, makes a very simple truth become a very powerful tool for living a successful life.

Honesty and trustworthiness have many levels and many ramifications. It is the basis for all successful relationships between individuals and on a larger scale between companies and even nations. It is incumbent upon each of us to demonstrate the value of being trustworthy in every aspect of our life. Once again it is our opportunity to change the World via our own will and action for it is our ripple that floats through the rest of the pond and has its influence felt throughout.

Thank you for your continued interest in the teachings of Roncar. We look forward to exploring and uncovering the truth that lies before our eyes and between our ears

Happy Listening!

Warm Regards, Robert Victor,  Editor

Release Your Limitations

Posted by roncarspeaks on 22nd November 2011

Release Your Limitations

an excerpt from 09-13-11

This segment really talks about our why we have resistance to making changes in our life and what we can do to overcome that inertia.

Roncar points out that old ideas, habitual thinking and old programming often act as the barrier to our changing life for the better. We have often outgrown these limiting concepts but do not take the time to review their impact on our ability to move forward or make significant changes.

It is easy for us to become attached to the old ways of thinking, behaving and evaluation. We are often attached because they are a known commodity and have a certain comfort factor.  Fear of the unknown will hold us back from venturing forth.

Our old framework is like an old pair of worn out shoes. We are very familiar with them, but they cause pain and discomfort and are no longer an asset – but a limitation. To release these self imposed limitations only requires a reevaluation of what was once considered unquestionable by your old habitual way of thinking. Change is not limited. You can change and change again until you are comfortable with you new reality.

As the master of you life you can muster the will and determination to make your life different. You are in charge, not the old habits, not the old thinking.
